“Wow, just wow”

Reviewed 5 July 2014 ... What great value for money, extremely helpful staff and gorgeous food. They couldn't have been more helpful to cater for my 2yr old son, making him smaller portions of milk shake and sandwiches. I had the vintage afternoon tea and am very pleasantly surprised with what I got all for under £8 it was all very freshly made, the scone was still warm and the sandwiches, cake and tea were delicious. Very large portions too!! …. Will most definitely be back and can see myself becoming a regular. Will recommended to all my friends and family!

“Gorgeous Cream tea, a little gem in Kent”

Reviewed 30 June 2014 ...We had a lovely cream tea with some of the best homemade and freshly baked scones I have eaten in a tea shop! Plenty of jam and cream too!! Clotted of course! One of our party had their orange cake, all the cakes are homemade too, and gorgeous! Well worth a visit, with super friendly and helpful staff...being fussy people we asked for hot chocolate and coffee to accompany the cream "tea" and this was no problem, in fact nothing was any problem…..

“Great Discovery”

Reviewed 20 June 2014 ... my wife and I made the very welcome discovery of this delightful relaxing teashop, run by two friendly and charming sisters. With a small, almost private coffee salon upstairs and a beautiful, spacious secluded garden eating area, this is a quiet oasis well worth a visit - and we visited twice! The ploughman’s we had for lunch were excellent, very tasty and good value - followed up by a different pot each of the delicately blended fragrant smelling teas...

“Best cream tea ever”

Reviewed 19 June 2014 ...Best cream tea ever was absolutely delicious, followed by the most delicious pot of real tea….

“Oh my...”

Reviewed 24 May 2014 ...Visited this gorgeous addition to Romney today and can't praise it enough. The tea room and its garden are so pretty but this isn't twee or over done: it's just lovely. Outside, in the walled garden, there are lots of comfy cushions for the seats, masses of flowers and umbrellas for the sun (and rain!). Inside, the original fabric of the very old building has been kept and it adds to the surroundings. Take the opportunity to look upstairs at the coffee lounge - you'll love it. So, to the food. Two of us had the vintage tea and a baguette and cake (one after the other of course!). The vintage tea was embarrassing, in that everyone looked at it, and us, as it came out but, hey ho, we didn't care. All the food was fresh - sandwiches were crammed with fillings and our daughter said the smoked salmon (no extra charge) was yummy. The sandwiches, cakes and cream tea (all included in the extremely reasonable price) were presented on a traditional cake stand, together with chocolates. One of us gave up and asked for a doggy bag for her slice of cake.... We would wholeheartedly recommend this tearoom. The staff were friendly and helpful…. Hats off to Deb and Lyn…

“Well worth the wait!”

Reviewed 18 May 2014 ...The food was second to none the tea, came in a proper teapot and was leaf not bag, Quiche was homemade and am told, very tasty (by my husband) The tea room is bright and welcoming, as are the owners and the prices are very reasonable. Cakes are just lovely (also homemade). We will be visiting again soon, and hang the waistline! Highly recommend a visit to this wonderful establishment.

“Excellent!”

Reviewed 15 May 2014 ...Their walled garden is perfect place on a sunny May afternoon to enjoy great food and super service. My wife enjoyed a scrumptious homemade apple and cinnamon cake still warm from the oven! I was hungrier so tried their Ham ploughman’s, one of the best with very tasty ham from a local butchers. Lynn and Debbie deserve to be successful in their relatively new venture as they have obviously thought carefully about what customers want in a tearoom. We will return next time we are in the area.

“Delicious!”

Reviewed 30 April 2014 ...Lovely tearoom and extremely nice staff. Would recommend the afternoon tea of sandwiches, cake and scones but make sure you are hungry before ordering as you won't want to leave any of it. Lovely outside area to sit if the sun is shining. Can't wait to go back.
